Martin Smith
Since becoming fully professional in 1976, Martin Smith has gained himself an enviable reputation as a good quality, smartly presented, all-round act. He is an excellent comedian and musician.
Originally as a front man in various show bands he decided to turn solo - since then he has been working everything from the smaller venues right up to the Big Name shows - both at home and abroad. He has supported such National Attractions as Tom O'Connor (Seaside Special BBC), the Jimmy Cricket Laughter Show, Little and Large, Frank Carson and worked as warm-up man on the Chas and Dave Pub Nights, Theatres, Military Bases, Private functions, everything from the smallest pubs right up to the Major night clubs.
He is an accomplished musician and is at home on several instruments, although in public he is normally to be seen with the Piano Accordion, Banjo and Guitar - used both as solo instruments and to accompany his vocals. He was Pub Entertainer of the Year for Trophy Taverns in London (1992).
Martin is working together with Satellite Entertainments for over 15 successful years now.
With Lederhosen and accordion his impression of Baron Von Schmidt Haus is excellent for Bavarian themed functions and October fest.
